WVC Newsletter

Welcome dear friends of Wrightstown Veterinary Clinic. We are continuously trying to develop new methods of communication to keep your pets happy and healthy. One way is to send informative newsletters featuring issues concerning your pets. We’ll now be using email to educate our clients on important information for your pets and will also feature a Topic of the Month. Our primary goal is to educate our clients as unobtrusively as possible. If you wish to not receive these emails please contact our office via email or phone and we will gladly remove your name from our list.
Halloween is fast approaching and we are having a photo costume contest for our patients! Please send us photos of your pets dressed up for Halloween. Photos may be sent electronically or by mail. All photos must be received by October 23, 2009. Our staff will choose the Top 5 photos which will be posted on our web blog. Once the top 5 are chosen, you will have a chance to decide the winner. Please choose your favorite at www.wrightstownvetclinic.blogspot.com . The winner will be announced on November 2nd and will receive one exam fee or 3 months of Frontline free.
Topic of the Month: Halloween Safety for your pets
Every one – young/old, two -legged/four-legged - loves Halloween. Many people take precautions for their children on this holiday, but one cannot forget their four-legged kids too. Halloween candy can cause illness in pets – from a simple GI upset, to obstructions, or kidney/liver disease. Please to not allow your pets to eat Halloween candy (or any candy for that matter). Some of you enjoy dressing up your pets for Halloween, which is wonderful, but please be costume conscious. Do not use costumes that are too big or too small, that can obstruct their vision or movement, or that are too warm. Please do not keep the costume on if your pet does not tolerate it. Don’t forget to watch your pets as your doors are being opened and closed for trick-or-treaters. If you have to, lock pets up in a bedroom or crate.
Finally, Dr. Bollard will be away from the clinic Oct. 26th-29th. The clinic will remain open during normal business hours. We will have a relief doctor on Tuesday and Thursday. We hope this does not cause any conflicts and appreciate your understanding. Once again get your Halloween photos in by Oct. 23th and please contact us if you prefer not to receive our newsletter. Thank you for allowing us to care for your pets.
